"Treats for our Troops" - Operation Tigershark -- Volunteers gathered at the Post on February 15th to show appreciation to our men and women by giving them a sweet taste of home while they are so far away! Seven huge boxes filled with homemade baked goods, packaged cookies, hot cocoa, Valentine’s Day candy and cards were sent to Post 2230's adopted unit: 10th Mountain Division 1-10 Combat Aviation Brigade Bravo Company 2-10. The unit was deployed from Fort Drum to Forward Operating Base Salerno, Afghanistan Task Force Tigershark in October 2010. The unit is made up of 29 men and 2 female service personnel. Spec Bill Orlando Jr. Crew Chief on board a Black Hawk Helicopter is grandson of member Bill Salzmann.

A box has been set up in the KVC Lounge for anyone wishing to drop off items to be sent to the unit. The soldiers are looking for paperback or hardcover books, movie DVD’s, trial size toiletries, snacks, etc. Additional information contact Bill Salzmann - secretary@kenilworthveterans.com
