This is a wonderful page that has been created. Your tribute to the 9/11 victims and their families is remarkable--as is the POW/MIA never being forgotten piece. It is because of all of you--alive and who died for me--that I am enjoying the freedoms that I am able to enjoy. GOD bless you and your families and friends.

This is a beautiful page, I come from a military family. My Father served as a tail gunner in a B-24 in WW2 & both my brothers served in Viet Nam. I guess you can say I served the country by being one of the first people at Ground Zero as search & rescue. I then was one of the officers in my dept. to command a small army of men & women to clean up the place. I was there from 9/11 till the end of july. I'm proud of our country, & those who serve as it's defenders!

The pain that I felt on sept,11 is a pain I hope to never feel again. None of my family
members were in the world trade centers on that day and I thank the lord everyday. My
thoughts and prayers go out to all the families who lost a loved one or a friend on that
tragic day and I am now grateful for my life.

I would like to thank all of the veterans who have served to protect the freedom that I
have here in America. Thank you. I received an email a few years ago that had a wonderful
quote at the bottom. I don't know who wrote it, but it's something that truly hits home
for me. Thanks again. "It is the soldier, not the reporter, Who has given us freedom
of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, Who has given us freedom of speech. It is
the soldier, not the campus organizer, Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is
the soldier, Who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped
by the flag, Who allows the protestor to burn the flag."
